Essay on New Billing Business Network Proposal - 891 Words

New Billing Business Network Proposal David Moser Strayer University CIS 175- Introduction to Networking My neighbor comes to me about a small startup billing business, he requires an information technology design specification that will meet a tight budget $5000.00. Included in the business requirements are two workstations, Internet access, one printer, multiple email addresses, basic security, and a maintenance cost ceiling of $200.00 per month. I have made the following proposal to my neighbor to meet his IT needs. To ensure maximum flexibility and reliability I recommend that the network be configured as a wireless only network. The number of devices is relatively small; two workstations, one printer and one router†¦show more content†¦Microsoft Office 2007 is recommended for compatibility with other businesses, as Microsoft Office is the business standard for office document formats. For the same reason Adobe Acrobat is recommended for all documents that will be published as read only or as forms with active fields. Norton Internet Security is recommended with a 3-year subscription for updates to protect against malware. A UPS (one for each workstation) will protect both hardware and software from the common occurrence of power dips and surges that can cause damage and require maintenance and repair. The cost for each workstation with all the items I have discussed is $1500.00 U.S. In order to save on monthly expenses and decrease maintenance costs I recommend sourcing both of these requirements from the same vendor. An ADSL premium service will meet the needs of the new business while also staying below the monthly budget constraints. It will provide Internet access at a bandwidth of 6 Mbps download and 768 Kbps upload which will cover the needs of a small business that uses the Internet for primarily email. This service includes a main email account and up to 10 sub-accounts however I recommend adding the Business Email service from ATT which features 25 email addresses and a domain name for the business that will properly identify the new business to existing and future customersShow MoreRelatedRiordan Manufacturing IS Upgrade Essay1673 Words   |  7 Pagesat your Atlanta, Georgia and Pontiac, Michigan plants will improve information integrity and availability through your entire organization. Development of Personal Brand through Social Media Channels

Question: Discuss about the Development of Personal Brand through Social Media Channels. Answer: Future job/business project While developing and getting a future job prospect it becomes critical that one reviews the pertinent opportunities that exist in the market(McCorkle, 2012). Post finishing off graduation I want to become an accountant in retail store or department. After evaluation of relevant job prospects and opportunities from Australian job portal www.seek.com.au and www.careerone.com.au I have come across several jobs that have openings across departmental stores of Coles as well as Woolworths in Australia. The job description requires that I have knowledge pertaining to international Accounting standards and for a person who is ready to work in shifts. The basic criteria for applying for this job are graduation hence I can apply for it easily(Van Dijck, 2013). The job will have multiple responsibilities that will need to be carried out which includes not only maintaining of books of accounts, input all bills and deliveries that are conducted form point of sales. Cross verifying for various sal es and tax related issues and payments as well as generating invoices for the purpose of allotting bills to various suppliers, distributers and so on that happens from the branch itself. The role is extremely challenging and requires that a person devoted to the role comply to various accounting and ethical standards to maintain such books and it also requires that a person follows completely compliance procedures such that there are no auditing challenges that are faced by the organization(Chen, 2013). The payment for the job will be standardized and there will be a period of 6 months for probation where the candidate will have to go through various trainings and need to acclimatize with set procedures such that a person easily understands treatment of various accounting heads. The challenging roles and responsibilities might also require the candidate to stay for longer periods than committed by the organization(Rampersad, 2008). Self-Analysis Self-reflection is the most vital and critical part of self-branding and a person with understanding of self can only opt for appropriate self-marketing. I will be completing my graduation in the area of accounting and will emerge as a professional ready for the industry(Commerce, 2009). I have gained immense knowledge and skills pertaining to accounting standards and regulations such that I will easily be able to tackle complex responsibilities such that I will be able to become a better accounting professional. Further I have done self-analysis in a detailed manner highlighting my potentials and skills such that I will be able to market myself in a better manner and attract suitable employers to my profile. I have conducted SWOT analysis, which is an abbreviated form for strength, weakness, opportunity and threat as given below. SWOT Analysis From the above analysis pertaining to self it can be well understood that I am a hardworking and aggressive person(Harris, 2011). I have low communication skills as well which allows me to handle and tackle complex problems while working. I have capabilities to work in a team hence I can easily strive for goals of higher levels. I am already graduating in accountancy which has provided me various skills and knowledge pertaining to lot of issues and challenges that arise in the field of accounts. I feel that with experience I will further be able to highlight and sharpen such skills of mine(Wetsch, 2012). While building my personal portfolio and in interviews I will highlight these skills of mine with which I am capable of becoming a highly trained and efficient professional. However, I have certain weaknesses as well as I lack experience and do not have much ideas regarding the complex working of the industry. I know that I will face threats from other competitors who have more knowl edge as well as skills to meet complex job requirements. But I will highlight in front of employers my readiness to learn various skills and face challenges as I am of very young age compared to other people working in the industry(Wee, 2010). I will put in my very best to prove myself and become a leader within the segment in no time. Once given an opportunity I will leave no stones unturned to see that I am able to establish that I am a well deserving professional who will be making significant contribution in the future. There are various opportunities in Australia in the field of Accounting professionals but the challenges are also immense as the country is experiencing a slow-down at the moment. Hence, I have to try and establish myself as a leader in the field by proving my worth to all possible extents(Labrecque, 2011). Social Networking Profile Social media networking has emerged as a tool that enables to connect with various employers and also explore various scopes pertaining to placement. I will opt for social media marketing of my personal branding through use of LinkedIn and Facebook. Both these platforms have become highly active that allows constant interaction of corporates with their likable candidates and exchange views regarding various topics with them. The LinkedIn offers a dynamic opportunity where a candidate can opt for any type of job given the suitability of their profile and gain significant reviews form them(Vallas, 2015). Whereas Facebook is a platform that allows for steady interactions with various companies along with their managers and leaders. I will intend to connect with various individuals through their Facebook accounts as well as through LinkedIn profiles such that after completing my graduations I will have at least 3 to 5 job offers at hand. I will aim to project myself through these various social media profiles as a leading Accounting professional who possesses immense learning capabilities(Karaduman, 2013). My personal branding will consist of four relevant areas including my courses completed, knowledge gained, skills and attributes, personal projects done and future aims and goals. Each segment will be detailed in the accounts page of the social media accounts. In my knowledge and skill area there will be highlighted the courses I have completed along with scores in various areas, there will also be skills attained in SWOT that will be provided in the personal skills description. Then there will be all projects and papers that we had to do during the conduct of my course along with knowledge gained in each. Then I will highlight some of my personal skills and ask my friends as well as colleagues to endorse them such that I am able to emerge as a leading professional in the area(Morgan, 2011). Recommendation and Conclusion The analysis regarding my personal self and its reflection has provided various input regarding my own self. Though I will pass and become an Accounting graduate but this self-analysis has provided various necessary attributes regarding own self. Thus, it becomes pertinent to undertake such reflection that helps to project and brand oneself in a better manner. I will go through and review various leading profiles in LinkedIn as well as Facebook to understand as to why their profiles attract significant amount of jobs compared to others. I will also take help from self-help books in the library to understand the relevant areas that I can improvise upon that will enhance my personal branding. Further I will take help from my university professor to provide insights into my account and how to increase its visibility further. I am sure that my professors will guide me and provide relevant inputs that will act as a strong factor for promoting my personal brand. Hence, by gaining relevant inputs and insights I will be able to market myself better and find a suitable position in a multinational organization and explore my skills further. References Chen, C. Womans Studies Essay Example For Students

Womans Studies Essay Oppression is defined by The Collins Paperback English Dictionary as, to subjugate by cruelty, force. etc. To afflict or torment. To lie heavy on (the mind, etc.). According to one of the authors in the book Feminist Frontiers IV, Marilyn Frye says:The root of the word oppression is the element press. The press of the crowd; pressed into the military service; to press a pair of pants; printing press; printing press; press the button. Presses are used to mold things or flatten them or reduce them in bulk. Something pressed is something caught between or among forces and barriers which are so related to each other that jointly they restrain, restrict or prevent the things motion or mobility. Mold. Immobilise. Reduce. We will write a custom essay on Womans Studies specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now The word oppression is often related to feminism. The statement that women are oppressed is often found with the statement that men are oppressed as well. According to Frye, oppressing is oppressive to those who oppress as well as to those they oppress. It is not only women who are oppressed; Men claim their oppression as the fact that they are not supposed to show their emotion, they arent allowed to cry, it is unacceptable. In many countries, for example Afghanistan, women are deeply oppressed. They must cover their entire bodies with clothing, including their face or they will be severely punished with torture. In most parts of Canada and in many parts of the United States women are just as free as men are. Although there are instances of oppression, for example Frye writes in her article titled Oppression that it is common in the US for younger women to be in a bind were sexual activity and sexual inactivity are both unaccepted. It happens in some parts of the country were girls might be called names like slut or whore for having had sexual relations with a boy. But the other girls who havent had sex are often called prude or uptight. In these cases girls have no choice, its a lose-lose situation. They cant be accepted either way. This also goes for the way a woman dresses. If she dresses one way, perhaps wearing a low-neck shirt and a short skirt, she may be seen as easy because shes showing her sexual availability. If she dresses another way by wearing a turtleneck and a pair of lose dress pants, she may be seen as uptight and self-conscious about her body. Another form of oppression is the lack of power women have in a divorce. In the movie For richer, For Poorer the women in the film was physically abused by her husband and she left him with the children. Since the children were young she still had to mind them and was unable to get a job. Her husband refused to pay alimony or child support, while he was buying expensive suits, went to tanning salons and fancy gyms and drove a fancy car. According to the narrator in the film, like this women, four out of ten marriages fail. Women head Eighty-five percent of single parent families. Eighty-five percent of men fail to support their families fully and sixty percent fail to support at all. Another fact stated in the film was that after a divorce mens standard of living goes up usually by sixty percent. Womens on the other hand goes down usually to forty percent. This goes to show that there is a lack of support programs for women and their children and that those women are oppressed. They are lacking freedom and their rights. In Readings two there is references to how womens sexuality has a connection with economic, political dominance and the control that man has. Rosalinda Mendez Gonzalez wrote Reading two, which is titled, Distinctions in Western Womens Experience: Ethnicity, Class, and Social Change. One of the main questions in this reading is What did the settlement of the land itself mean for the women of different classes and ethnicity? Many of the answers came from the focus on pioneer women and their lives. Their lives are studied through their diaries and or literature left behind. Gonzalez explains that this is biased. There is evidence of the experience of working class women, but when studying womens history we seem to be steered towards educated and/or elite women and their writings. Gonzalez explains that this is biased because not all women experienced what those women did and their experiences are often applied to all women. Many women in history were unable to record their experiences b ecause they were too poor. They did not hold diaries or attend school and were unable to read and write. Many women suffered great amounts of prejudice and most of them were black, Indian, Asian or Mexican. .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 , .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .postImageUrl , .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 , .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9:hover , .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9:visited , .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9:active { border:0!important; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9:active , .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9 .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u39978d5f2b1c7e8a954ed80d5ab256a9:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Gender Issues In Antigone EssayGonzalez explains that the westward expansion brings into play a host of major economical, political and social developments. The development of the railroad went hand in hand with the western expansion, which in turn affected women in diverse ethnic and class backgrounds in a variety of ways. After the military, the railroads provided one of the most effective ways of destroying American Indian peoples subsistence on the Plains, by the establishment of the policy regarding paying sharpshooters to kill the buffalo. Soon after the western expansion patriarchy came into place. Families that were patriarchal were particularly strong in the rural areas. Women were hired to pick cotton, as agricultural labourers but were never paid their own wages. Their salary would be given to her husband, father or brother. Because of this system, which was called family wages, feudal relations in the countryside were difficult to breakdown, and wage labour did not offer women the economic independence that weakened patriarchal relations like urban and industrial employment did. Giving the living conditions that the urban areas had, the domestic labour of women and children was overwhelming. They gathered and chopped wood for fuel, hauled water long distances from the river in buckets, hand-ground corn for long hours. They did this to make up for the lack of reasonable wages and public services. In todays society we do not see a lot of male dominance compared the dominance that took place years ago. Much of the dominance is masked by the women who are suffering. Men often feel superior to women because they are making more money. Many women now days are making just as much money as men are but when a woman takes time off work to have children she becomes the weaker sex. She needs care, she needs love. This is where male dominance plays a significant role. It is slowly changing but it will forever be the same. Men will never bear children. (Well it is not physically possible as of yet.) There is always going to be a sense of control or power over women by men until the day men become as weak as English Essays
